At one of my fav order sites, they mention that RAM prices are on their way up, and have increased their prices accordingly...so if you're in the market for RAM, HURRY UP!

NOOOOOOOOO PLEAAASEEEE NOOOOOOOO~!
On the Lam are you sure it'd not vendor scare tactics. Everything I've read seems to say there is a major oversupply of ram that won't be exhausted for awhile yet.

Nope, it's true. Since CPU prices are dropping because of the Intel/AMD pricewars, people are buying more computers, and are therefore willing to pay more for RAM.

Just simple economics, although it sucks ***.

Try this place. I'm goint to order some ram, I'm not sure if the site just hasn't been updated or what. What happens if I get charged more than advertised? (http://www.skcomputers.com/Memory/memory.htm)

If you would still like to pick some up at a good price, go to Egghead.com/Onsale at Cost and look for memory/64MB/Peripheral and you will find a stick for 43.99 shipped. There is also a coupon AH292 which I am told gets you a bit more off the order price. This is lifetime guaranteed according to the vendor's site.

I just got back from the store here in Hawaii, and just bought another 64MB of Micron PC133 CAS 2 (MT48LC8M8A2-75C) for $60.00. They would'nt give a phone quote though cause they said that the prices are going up. 128MB of the same Micron is $118.00, not too bad, I think.

I stil think I'll order me 128mb of PC133 and sell my PC100. I'll probably make a profit, given Irish ram prices!

EDIT
Egghead's prices have gone up! $62.99 for 64mb gold contact!
