Hi. Presently I'm running an HP Brio (ha ha ha) with a celeron 500 (66mhz).
I know this is a REALLY cheap machine, but it actually works pretty well considering it has only 64mb ram presently.
Anyway, the M/B has no jumpers or dips, so I figured I'd have to use a program to increase the FSB. I figure around 75 or so would give me somewhat of a boost, until I can get better cooling.
So, the pll is an ICS 9250 BF-10 9945 CA930566.
These are all of the numbers on the chip. I tried Soft FSB, but the closest I got for the clock generator was ICS 9250xx-08. Which by the way, won't work.
So, does anyone out there have any suggestions? (except to get a new machine!)
I'd greatly appreciate your help.
Thanx

You could try CPUFSB from www.podien.de. (http://www.podien.de.)

Thanks Roy. I appreciate that. I know this sounds lame, but I can't find the m/b manufacturer anywhere! Man do I feel impotent!
Anyway, from what I can get out of it, the cpufsb needs to have the m/b manu and model to read and set fsb.
What I liked about the SoftFSB was that you could just enter the PLL manu and number and it supposedly would set it for you.
So, there we are!
Thanks for your help, and if anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know.

Well, I sent HP an e-mail to see what they could tell me. Had the model, serial etc., so they SHOULD be able to tell me something, huh?
Thanks,

By the way, are there any updates, ect. for this prog? I went to H> Oda's page and there are no more downloads or support for that program.
I'd really like to get a little more horsepower from this baby.
I used sandra and got no M/B name, but I'll prolly crack the case again later and see if I can find one. (Did look earlier, and didn't see one.)
Thanks everyone.

try motherboard.org...I think that's what it is. You may find some answers there.

Thanks Ozzy and No Limit! I went to motherboard.org and nothing, never thought of adding an "s!"
I'll hit that site now.
Thanks.

Oh well, looks like I'm stuck at 500mhz with a celeron that I know could eaily do 650!
Such is life, huh?
HP said in their e-mail that all of their parts are either made by them or for them, and they couldn't give me the manu of the m/b.
Heck, what should I expect from a cookie cutter box, right?
How I miss the DIP switches form the old socket 7 boards!
Thanks for all of your input everyone.
