I am now an owner of an Athlon Tbird 700 with a 700 core. I also have a Slot A classic 700 with an 800 core. Is there anything that needs to be done to the bird to O/C it ? The classic has had the cache hard modded to 2/5 and it has a GFD on it. Currently it is humming right along at 950MHz. Solid as a rock. I tried the Leufkin GFD on the Tbird and it wouldn't post from any settings what so ever. I tried it on an Epox 7KXA and a Gigabyte 7IX. Currently the classic is on the Epox board. I am assuming that the Leufkin GFD will not work on the Tbird. Any tips or links that will help me O/C this bird ?

One thing, check the specs on your motherboards, not all slot A motherboards support the slot A T-birds.
It's the difference in architecture, the classic uses .25, the T-bird uses .18 and the voltage and current loads are different (I think).

Slot A T-Birds will only work with the AMD750 chip set. Your Gigabyte 7IX(E)is on AMDs recommended motherboard list for the T-B and should work.

My 800 T-B was a no brainer with the Northwind GFD,set it to 1050MHZ(the max). I did, however, bump the voltage from 1.70 to 1.80
