Strange characters appearing.

When I try and use the apostrophe, I get this character: è

When I try and use a quote symbol I get this: È

When I try and use the less than and greater than symbols I get these: '"

I am using a Fujitsu 104 key Windows 95 keyboard, but for some reason Windows detects and installs it as a standard 101-102 key or Microsoft natural keyboard. I think this may be the problem but have been unable to resolve it.

Any ideas.

Is it just in one app. or does it appear in every app.?

Your system probably thinks it's French or something. Try going into your Control Panel, and check to make sure the Regional Settings are correct, the "Language" tab under the Keyboard icon, and anything else that might have anything to do with languages. A lady at my work has/had the same problem, but hasn't yet told me if these suggestions worked or not. Good luck.

Thank you very much Eli, your suggestion helped. I found the problem in the keyboard icon on the control panel under the languages tab. The language was correct, but under properties I just had to change the keyboard layout.
