to my knowledge, your processor, which is the same as mine is multiplier locked. If you can't get by 637 the way it is, try upping the voltage or maybe changing your RAM from cas2 to 3.

i did booosted the voltage core but it dosent work for me so i run it at 1.55 and its overclocked at 637 and i think my pci bus overclokced at 40 not sure don wanna booot 2 see http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif but there isnt any way 2 unlock the multiplyer like with a thunderbird k7 ? i did put some artic silver2
and a new heatsink normal heatsink from thermaltake one of the bigest one from them
help me unlock stupind multiplyer sniff

To date there is no way to unlock that multiplier. YOu may have to tinker with the L2 cache settings or the RAM settings to make it go further. I wouldn't go beyond 1.85v unless you have adequate cooling.

I wouldn't go beyond 1.85V, period. I wouldn't raise the voltage without adequate cooling.
I owuld highly suggest getting a Goldne Orb for a Socket 370 ($15 shipped) and it will lower your temps big time. Also make sure your PCUI divider is switched to 1/3 (instead of 1/2) so that at 100MHz fsb, the PCI is running at 33 or as close as possible. AGP should be at 2/3 divider. This is probably why you are so unstable. I have had three Celeron 2's. 2 were 566E's (both ran at 850...one at default voltage) the other was a 533E running at 848. All were with Golden Orbs onf BF6 Abits with no higher than 1.85V. I got one BF6 to run at 961.

PS: unless you get an engineering sample, all Coppermines are clock locked with no known way to unlock them.

i do think i have adequate cooling with this artic silver2 stuff and my fan is a thermaltake DUO462 i know its designer for a athlon but it givv me real good cooling my cpu is at 30 34 and i have the fan runninr at 5500 rpm

I have a celly 600 cB0 and I can't even get pass 83mhz. So are you at lease using pc100? Remember that all cpu are not the same. The others are right about voltage, you may need to upped it to 1.7 just to be stable at 83mhz or around there. I've never use an asus cuv4x but can you up it more than 1.55? Your cooling sounds good but if you did up the volt to 1.7 the temp can reach 50c under full load.
Either that, you may have one of those unlucky cpu, I'm about to throw is the towel and admit my celly 600 can only go 747.

i did boosted the voltage core up to 1.75 i think still with crappy result so i came back at 1.55 since its stable that way and at 1.75 my cpu temp was near 40
