I just got the chip today. I'll O/C right out the box, and I'll post my results here later today. My system is...

IWill KA266 DDR board
AMD 1 Ghz 266 fsb
Samsung 128 meg PC2100 ram
GlobalWin 32-1
Maxtor 20 gig UDMA 100 drive
Geforce 2 Gts Pro

I don't want to critisize your s*** too much, but my old Duron, GeForce2 MX system got over 5200 3DMarks. Was it really worth all that extra money just for bragging rights?

For me, Yes. I use 3D Studio Max alot. the performance difference is quite a step up from what I used to have.

PIII 800
128 Meg Cas2 Kingston
Intel I815 chipset.
same video card, but only got 6500 3d marks fully tweaked.


I just updated the 3DMark 2000 score. I tweaked with settings and set the memory to 220/475 Look above to see.

I suppose you are right, 6500 to 8300 is quite a jump considering its the same video card. I'll bet there is some more performance in there somewhere though. Keep tweakin man! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

These tests are not optimized except for 3DMark 2000.. I haven't had time to sufficiently tweak with any of my settings. All tests were run with Win98SE. I am using DET 6.34. I'm sure the score will go up when I can figure out how to turn on Fast Writes and get to know my bios better. Oh yes, the card is overclocked. 220/475. The processor is not O/C yet.

Update. I tweaked with bios settings and increased my memory benchmark score. It also increased my 3DMark score almost by 300. The processor is not O/C.
