I got a P-MMX 200 with an integrated ATI 264-VT3 (direct draw) video card. needless to say playing games is very painful. Just need to know where to go overclock it? and is it wise?

A p200 could probably d0 266 w/o too much trouble, just make sure it isnt getting to hot thats all. If you come accross lock ups, turn the voltage a bit higher untill it disappears, never going above the max voltage handling. it should say in your motherboards booklet how to set the jumpers to 266 (or any other desired speed) by the way. Ed_S 03-22-2001, 06:12 PM If you read back through the posts in this forum, you'll find more info than you really want on the subject! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif But in general I recall lots of folks having little luck with the 200's. The 233MMX was a better candidate, IMO. The board is the key factor. I had a 233 which wouldn't o/c at all on an M-Tech board, but did 290 flawlessly on a Soyo. And you're the only one who can answer the "is it wise?" part, really. You do incur some (relatively minor) risk of damage, and to many here it's worth it. For some, a fried chip means little, but for others it's like the end of the world. Which are you closer to? SysOpt.com
