I just got my hands on Intel Celeron 700Mhz and I'm amazed at how well this processor overclocks without the need to buy new heatsink, new fan and screwing around with the voltage, etc... I hate doing all that ****, I'm not much of an overclocker fan.

I did some research around a few sites and it said that Celeron 700 with the high multiplier of 10.5 will not get the CPU overclocked to higher than 871Mhz (10.5 x 83), but boy was the information misleading! I overclocked the Celeron 700 to 997Mhz (10.5 x 95) on an Abit BE6-2 with default voltage & stock Heatsink and the CPU temperature is at 38C. I ran Quake 3 and ran some other CPU intensive programs and it's rock stable! I'm assuming that I can take it a bit higher, but I'll save that for a rainy day. I'm very pleased with this processor. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Very nice OC! Aren't you glad you didn't listen to those sites? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

Yep, got my Celeron 700 to 945MHz (90FSB) on an Abit SE6 with no problem -- runs rock solid. At about 100 bucks for the chip, this is a real bargain.
