Hello,
Does anybody have the link to a particular artical. It was about using alchohol with your thermal compound to create better contact. I saw it about 2-3 weeks ago...
Thank You,

Rubbing alcohol is often used to clean the surfaces before applying the thermal compound.
How to Apply Thermal Paste, etc. (http://www.subzeropc.com/article/thermalinterface.htm)
Hello,
No, That is not the artical I was talking about.
This guy Applied the thermqal compound to his heatsink, :then: sprayed a tad of alcohol on it, then attached it to his processor and let it set for a while to let the alchohol evaporate from between the HS and proc. It susposedly *for lack of better word* sucked the thermal coumpound into the really tiny inperfections when the alchohol evaporated... Weird Eh?

I'm wondering how that alcohol would evaporate? You'd be better off lapping the heatsink, that gets rid of most of the imperfections, you get better contact with the core, and better cooling. At least I have.
Good luck
