I am trying to set up a Diamond Multimedia Supramax 56i PCI modem in NT WS 4.0
I can not get it to recognize the modem for anything. It will see my
Diamond SupraExpress 336i PNP without any problems at all but I really want to get the
56k working. Any tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated

I've never used that modem...
My first move would be to check Diamond's web site. There might be a compatibility issue with NT ???

Hi, it's me again...
This is what i found on Diamond's web site, that might be your problem...

(17232) - The drivers for the SupraMax PCI cannot be installed from the CD that came with my modem.
You should copy the drivers from the CD to a temporary directory on the hard drive and try to install from this directory. Make sure `Show All Files` is selected in the options of Windows Explorer. Also ensure that you are using the most recent drivers for this modem, available from http://www.diamondmm.com.

If you are using CD part number 75500188-003, you will need to download and install the most recent drivers for your modem from our website. Go to http://www.diamondmm.com, click on Customer Care and go to Technical Support. Go to Communications and click on SupraMax 56i Voice Monopak. In the Drivers area, download the most recent drivers for your modem. See the instructions on this page or in the Manuals and Guides section for further assistance with installing your drivers.

I would try to install the modem with the latest drivers from Diamond.
Give it a go and let us know if it works !!!

Hope that helps a bit

Stan
