Does it matter if memory has to be same type because I have PC100 64 Megs of RAM and it's made by Toshiba. Will it cause any problems if buy generic PC100 64 Megs of RAM?

Its not unheard of for there to be compatibility issues between brands...but for the most part, you are safe to mix them.

Generally as long as they are of the same voltage (which most PC 100's are) its a good bet they will work together.

Keep in mind that you will need to set up your system to run for the slowest of the two (ie: if one set is CAS2, and the other is CAS 3, then you will want to set them both up to run as CAS 3, etc.)
