i have just unlocked my t bird, i have set up the multiplyer to x11 in the softmenu on my abit kt7 motherboard, iam not sure wht i need to adjust the core voltage setting to at the moment it is at 1.75 the default value can anyone help as i would like to overclock to at least 1200mhz if possible, but before that i need a fop 38 or 32. im new to this game of overclocking so i appologise if i sound like a fool.
kingo.
ps. it seem to work ok at the mo with the settings i have
To o'c a tbird, you need to set the core voltage to 1.85. Hope you get to 1200, i have a 950@1050, i tried 1100 but it crashed while gaming.

If it is ok at 1.75 there is no need to increase. There is no exact place your voltage needs to be,if you find its unstable try the smallest possible bump up until it's stable. My 750 came with a stock voltage of 1.75 and is running fine at 1gig at 1.80v

MOnitor your via hardware monitor for cpu temp and actual vcore voltage. Do not exceed 50 degrees centegrade cpu temp. set your multiplier where you want it (x12)and voltage to 1.85 in the softmenu. If it boots up, check the cpu temp and if its ok, reboot and try the next lowest voltage setting. Keep lowering voltage until it does not boot up and run properly and then bump voltage up a notch and there you are. If it does not boot up at 12x multiplier and 1.85 volts, lower the multiplier until it does, check the cpu temp and proceed as above. If temp is too high you must lower the voltage and, as a result of that, the multiplier too until you get a good heatsink and fan.
I have a Tbird 950 at 1207 on a Abit KT7A Raid 8.5 x 142 FSB and 1.80 runinnig stable 24/7 for the last 10 days with stock H/F temps are 30c idel and 39 under full load also have 6 case fans and 450 watt power supply
