It's big and it's cool!
It's even bigger than the Swiftech MC462 (http://www.swiftnets.com/MC462.htm) ! And it sure looks efficient. I'd say this a good alternative for watercooling.

That's a beast!
I'd be a bit concerned about it's weight though!!
Looks pretty awesome if u ask me.
But I got a question, in one of those articles Quote:
__________________________________________________ ______________________________
We tested the temperature by installing the probe under the unit (Senfu Sensor).

So my question would be: As the temp is not from the CPU internal diode wouldn't the highest temp be the heatsink that is working the most effeciently ? drawing more heat off the CPU?

2 mounting methods
weighs 1 pound
costs 70$ with a choice of 2 fans
appears the tests show approx a 5c reduction in temp
they "say" it fits anything...

You beat me to it thekingofpain.
That baby measures in at 1 pound and has not been recommended by AMD nor Intel. (I doubt it will too.)

Did you crack your knuckles, or is that just my Duron?
Seems to me that this heatsink could have a lot more surface area than it does. And considering the weight and the price, I think I'll pass.

I think it's funny how the reviewer rips the designer of the Kanie Hedgehog for not knowing how to build a heatsink. While I agree that the Hedgehog isn't any better than dozen of other heatsinks, neither is this piece of ****. It's actual cooling values are probably about the same as a retail Intel heatsink.
Certainly not the best cooler available, and certainly not worth $70. Just another misguided machinist with dollar signs in his eyes and too much time on his hands, IMHO
1 pound ..... geesh.... do they make a 1/2 pounder for laptops?
