Whenever I first access my online service provider (prodigy) ZoneAlarm asks if I would like to let the IPC Server to access the Internet. Is this a problem or is it normal? Should I say yes or no. Also if you could tell me what a ICP Server is it would be appreciated. Thanks to all for replies.

if you want it to be able to run your service, then you say yes and tell it to remember your answer, or you say no and the thing that you need to work, will not because it cannot get to the net....

Thanks for the reply deep_sky. I am wondering if this program is needed or is there something running in the background that I should know about. Paranoia its like looking in my rearview mirror and seeing a police car. Anyway thanks again.

Think the answer is in the Zone alarm read me .txt.
This version now tracks ICMP control activity through the TCP driver, so that programs like Ping, TraceRoute, and CyberKit will request permission to send ICMP packets. Today I was messing with the controlls in GetRight and checked the box that says when downloading ping the site to help keep connection. Although I did check this box and then later uncheck it. The message is still coming up. I just went back and verified that it was unchecked. Also GetRight has been acting up lately.
