Saw this article:

Does that mean a new BIOS will be available with a 13x multiplier?
The article mentions a 1300Mhz CPU for the 200Mhz bus and the 266Mhz bus.
The new WZ BIOS only has support for 12.5x multiplier right?

Really interesting question. I thought the 1300 would only be a 200 Mhz part. If they go above that, they must somehow have a 13X multiplier--perhaps a remapped older one?

How would the 266Mhz part work?
Would the multiplier be 9.75? Doesn't the BIOS only go in multiples of .5? If it used a 9.5x it would be 1266Mhz processor and 10x would be a 1333Mhz processor.
It seems to me that it would HAVE to be a 200Mhz CPU.
The picture on HardOCP ([url=http://www.hardocp.com/new_img_01/feb/021501b.html]1.3Ghz Athlon]) is a "B" part implying 200Mhz.
I haven't upgraded to the new WZ BIOS, does it allow multipliers greater than 12.5?
I guess the 5x and the 5.5x are unused multipliers so maybe those are remapped. They weren't ever any 500Mhz or 550Mhz Socket A Durons or Athlons were there? Only Slot A Athlons were produced at 500 to 550 Mhz, right?

From my understanding, they will have BOTH a 1300mhz (200mhz FSB) and a 1333mhz (266mhz FSB). If your motherboard supports the 266 FSB (KT133A chipset), then obviously you won't need a BIOS update (10 x 133). All other boards are going to need them though.
