I have 80mm case fan blowing in air and same model to suck out. I'm not satisfied with the first one so I'm thinking of wiring it to +12V+5V. Will that fry him or what? Do I have to maybe use resistor to get 15V?

You cannot really do make a ps run at 15v you can try 17v but it wont run effectively or it might not even work.

To do this you would hook the +12v lead and -5v lead tougether to = +17v

But the problem is that the -5v has low amps therefore low wattage and not really enough power to run anything even though its rated at -5v. Therefore it wouldn't run effectively at 17v also it depends on the ps as to whether you can actually try this.

I think you're wrong because with -5V would slower the fan. +12V-5V=+7V isn't this right? I think there was even a disscusion with this problem when somebody wanted to make his fan run more silently but I want just the opposite.

jaida is right on all counts, voltage is
a difference of potential IE:the difference of potencial between + 12 and -5 is 17 but
I agree I don't think is will work.

Yes it'll work just fine. Your fan(s) will be considerably louder at 17v, but you probably already know that.

If ya have any doubt at all check this:
Google search: case fans 17v (http://www.google.com/search?client=googlet&q=case%20fans%2017v) and you'll see quite a lot of other people doing the same thing.

And here is one of the better "how-to's" on increasing the fan voltage:
Up That Fan Voltage, More Cooling Power (http://www.hardocp.com/articles/kuperman/ocp_fan_voltage_tweak.htm)
