Dan brandon184 01-27-2001, 07:06 PM Overclocking a laptop is usually not a good idea, especially if heat is even remotely an issue with you as we speak. They experience much heat generation at the speeds they were meant for. Although, if you have taken this into consideration - visit Gateway's support site for information about your laptop and different clock speeds. I doubt you'll be able to do it, but you can look into it, if you feel so inclined. - Brandon Starmaster5 01-29-2001, 02:24 PM Adding more ram is probably the best thing you can do. Don't overclock a laptop, you will probably fry it in the process. Perform any other standard techinques (defrag) and you could always get a faster hard drive...but that is probably more expensive than its worth. SysOpt.com
