Hey guys:

I have a Celeron 300a and I was wondering what is the highest temp. this chip can achieve without getting damaged. Right now it hovers between 32C and 37C with a cheap heatsink and fan.

Should I lower it more? Should I use termal paste (I'm not using paste right now, the heatsink came with a little square -- I don't know what the heck is it but the person who sold it to me told me that it should do the work)?

Thanks in advanced..!!

The temperature is good, but I would take off the square thingy and put on a little thermal paste. That would take off a few more degrees celcius.

Keep the temp below 45-50 C.

I have 2 533 Mhz Celeron I running at 625 FSB with LOTS of air flow.

Does that square tape??? works? I mean if it is a good temperature it means it's working right???
