Okay i have the Duron 750mhz chip.

I was wondering should i try it out before i unlock it or just unlock it and go.

Oh i will be using the MSI K7T Pro 2-A Socket which i will be getting tommorrow

After examining the chip i noticed the L1 section bridges are all seperated.
Which means i have to use the pencil trick.

I was wondering if i didn't do the pencil thang. Can I overclock at all?

I wanna know how to do the pencil thing. Need some info.
How do i know it really worked also what if i screw up?
Can i simply erase the pencil markings or is the chip fudged up?

Sorry for asking too many questions I just wanna know so i won't f anything up.
Plus i know you people are very knowledge in this subject.

What should i use to oc FSB or Multipliers?

You should try it out just in case it's a buggy chip,as soon as the L1 bridge is re-connected the warranty is void so you just wasted your money.
Yes you can still overclock it but upping the FSB this puts more stress on All component whereas the multipler only affects the processor,your also more likely to get a higher overclock with the multiplier being changed as some processor have limited FSB.
A combination of both multiplier and FSB changing will probaly mean a higher overclock.May I suggest the sysopt website for information on the pencil trick,when they did a review of the duron 750 they told how and showed diagrams,here it is <A HREF="http://sysopt.earthweb.com/reviews/duron/index2.html"" TARGET=_blank>http://sysopt.earthweb.com/reviews/duron/index2.html"</A> TARGET=_blank&gt;http://sysopt.earthweb.com/reviews/duron/index2.html&lt;/A&gt;
Good luck and hope ya don't fry the chip.
