Howdy all,
I found a big problem with my FEP32 Globalwin Heatsink and fan. When I popped open my computer, I noticed that the HS&F was not sitting and flush on the little quarter inch square on my Celeron 533a. I noticed lockups and researched it further and found that the HS had a little lip on it that prevented flush contact with the CPU. Then I pulled out my dremel and removed this lip so the bottom of the HS could be flush with the CPU, but alas there turned out to be a bigger problem. The plastic piece that says "PGA370" is taller than the CPU sitting next to it (I have an ASUS sloteck), so it is still not flush with the CPU, but does cover it about 80%.
Long story short, what is the best HS&F that will not extend over the socket area and will sit flush on my CPU. I think I can hit 920 with my CPU with some better cooling, so please suggest the best HS&F I can get.
