Goddamn I'm a dumbass. With really no idea of what I was doing I decided to try to o/c this thing. Well, anyway, I think I killed it. It looks a little more than burnt-in. I'm glad they're cheap so I can go get a new one tommorow.
Anyway, i was wondering if someone could explain somethings to me. First, what is meant by the term burn-in? Then, how does unlocking the CPU with a pencil work? Last of all, is it possible to o/c on a generic board with no jumpers (could I upgrade to a BIOS where i can set the bus and multiplier electrically, the BIOS features in the book that came with my motherboard are quite different from the ones I wound up with)? Anyway, any feedback would be appreciated.
