For you tweakers using AMDK6-2,2+,3,3+ (read documentation for exact models) & W9X (sorry, NT & ME users miss out on alot of goodies), these programs MAY speed up your video somewhat -- 2D display mostly. They optimize memory cache writing strategies, especially video. Some mobos already support most of the functions. The prog Mxk6opt.exe can be d/led here: http://grafi.ii.pw.edu.pl/gbm/matrox/download.html

And the prog Setewb.zip here: http://www.geocities.com/liamsay/

These run only in DOS & aren't compatible w/Emm386.exe. Here are my Autoexec lines:

e:\tools\mxk6opt -g
e:\tools\setewb 1

'Course, substitute your own folder locations. They run then exit, so no memory is used. The directions say for ATI card users (like me) to use the -g switch on mxk6opt.exe -- other users won't need it. It speeded up my 2D video 'bout 5-7%. If it causes alittle snow, then try setewb 0
