Especially for use in FPS games like Unreal, Quake, etc. Please state the best PS/2 mouse, USB mouse and overall best.

Thanks you very much.

Have a nice day.

Personally, I love the Logitech MouseMan (original). It is contoured such that it feels like it's supposed to be in your hand. You can get it for PS/2 with a 9-pin serial adapter (if you can still find it).

Hadn't seen any more of this mouse until a week or two ago with Firing Squad did a review of the Logitech Wingman mouse... a physically identical replica of the MouseMan. except for USB (I think PS/2 as well). Instantly, I wanted one. Hopefully, I'll find one and be able to go USB for the first time in my young life.

If you haven't ever used a good MouseMan, do so before buying your next mouse. You may not know what you're missing.

USB since it has the highest sampling speed unless you want to overclock your ps/2 port...

I have a boxfull of mice. Tried the major brandnames like Logitech and Microsoft. Tried different trackballs. The mouse I use now, and I don't feel the need to use any other, is Microsoft's IntelliMouse Pro. It's the mouse of all mice. The King of Rodents.

It feels and tracks wonderfully.

If accuracy is what you want, for all applications, especially graphics, and not just games, a digitizer with a cordless puck is the way to go. Mice typically have a resolution of 400 LinesPerInch. Some trackballs have a little more. Digitizer resolutions start at about 1250 LPI to over 10,000 LPI. It can track every pixel on your screen and the space inbetween. Accurate, to say the least.

Have to agree with Bleeding Edge on Intellimouse, even though I couldn't go with Pro since my son is a lefty & it just don't work both ways! Intellimouse software is great & wheel is a must! Had non-wheel Intellimouse until used one at friend's house, owned one next day. Got to learn to stay away from other computers, gets costly! Went with PS/2 as use trackball on com port. Yes, both work at same time.

Hey, PeterY! Overclock PS2 Port? New one on me, how?

I'd wait for the new Microsoft optical mouse they debuted at comdex. It rocked, no moving parts and you don't need a mouse pad at all!

Joel Kleppinger,

the original Mouseman you mention, are you referring to Mouseman 96? Is there any cordless version of the original mouseman?

Is a cordless mouse (via radio wave) less sensitive/accurate than a normal PS/2(or USB) mouse?

Don't think I've tried any of these mice listed here, but I really like my Mouseman Plus from Logitech. It's got a trackball and a scroll wheel with two buttons. Just my 2 cents worth.
