What options do you have?

i set mine at 1 with no issues at all. though if you start crashing you may want to try progressively higher settings til it is stable.

0 is mine but 1 or 2 are also good if you wanna have really stable system.

so the higher i set my cache latency the more speed i losw but i gain stability? im asking not telling. iive set it at 1 and i dont see a diffrence in speed but it is stable one more question is it possible that my sloket is holding me back from going any higher on my fsb everything else will doit but i cant break 100 im useing an abit sloket 111 i read somewhere that iwill slokets are better what do you guys think? thanks for the advice so far!

Oh, you could use another time some punctuation marks. I had to read that three times. Yes, you gain stability, decrease won't be so noticeable because the speed of L2 IS really FAST!!
Your slocket can hold you back in oc'ing if it's not capable of going any higher. I'm using MSI slocket and it runas just fine. If you think of getting better slocket think of this: 133MHz capable, Coppermine compatable.

I have an Abit BH6 and according to my manual it says the higher the value the faster the L2 cache will run, What does this mean? I would assume that the faster that it runs the better performance. Is this incorrect? I have adjusted my L2 latency from 1 to 12 & each time ran winbench 99 CPUmark & nothing ever changed! What is the best value to set it at?

Thanks, RT

That is the first. I'm not sure about your mobo but hey, if they say it's better OK.
Usually lower means faster.

As far as I know this option doesn't work (haven't tried with newest BIOS). Set it to 10 for example and see what Sandra2K says. For me it shows default Cel2 L2 latency value all the time....
