Do you guys think is it worth to install a scsi dvd-rom on a new computer. For example, the Pioneer 303s scsi dvd-rom.
Also, I have a Iwill UW SCSI controller, is it good? Anyone have any experence with it?

I put the 303S in a new machine, using an AHA2940U2W though. It's an excellant drive. I also added a Hollywood Plus decoder even though the system is running @500 (PII333 SL2TV), so as not to bog down the cpu when it's playing movies.

You wouldn't have any problems running the 303S with an Iwill UW controller.

Since DVDs are not that fast to begin with I'd say go for it.I use SCSI CD-Roms and would not go back to IDE.I've seen 2x SCSIs run almost as fast as 24x IDEs.And my 24x SCSI's much faster than the standard fare 40xCD-Roms that use IDE.So with DVD I would think it would be a much needed boost in Acsess time.
