ok I have a Friend who His brother Has an amd k6-2 233 not overclocked and he asked me how to overclock it and I told him that he need to get a better a Heatsink&Fan So he got some sort of socket 7 cooler and when he went too Take off the heatsink off the cpu He was so exited that he BROKE the 2 pind that the Heatsink Connects too. so He got out his HOT GLUE gun I told him it wouldnt work But He said "Oh it will trust me I always Use hot glue for everything!" so I said Ok its your computer. then He Spreaded hot glue all over the Heat sink and Held it on top of the cpu till it holded there then He said "there I told you it would work!" then He went into the bios to overclock it too 266Mhz and he set it and it posted and he went strait into windoze! Then He started using PhotoShop and about 5 Mins since he started PhotoShop We Heard a Loud THUD
The fan broke off so he had too send it back and i tiold him to get Thermal Epoxy and He got some I forget and he gonna have to wait about 2-3 weeeks b4 he can use his comp again.

(sigh)... When will people learn that computers are not cheap wood blocks that they can glue together? That's really funny though. I hope you shut the computer down right away, or else...

I have always been afraid of breaking off those tabs that are on the socket. What could someone do besides glueing it? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

i hear ya. it always scared me when i had to remove and reattach my fop 38. i had to use pliers to push it down. now i have an alpha which isn't quite as hard to attach. now that the alpha is on, it's on till i get a new chip(i.e clocked too far once to many times) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
