Hey everybody,I'm on a mission,I started to collect all the unsolicted coasters that A-hole-hell,MSN,etc,etc are going to send me this year.Start keeping all they send to you and lets see who has the most at the end of the year. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gifI would like to compare the amount they send out here in the U.S vs overseas. What a mounumental waste of polycarbonate! Have a good weekend.

Darn, I just tossed about 30 CDs that had been accumulating.
Why not save them all up for a year, as you suggest, then everyone send them back to AOL/MSN/whatever all at the same time? Maybe they'll take the hint when they have millions of the damned things sitting in their mailboxes one morning...

*LOL* well i'm sure they'd just trash them, afterall i seriously doubt they'd take the risk of putting it on their own computers.

I get more of these things at home, college, and work than I will ever need (which is none http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif ). I actually use mine as frisbies for throwing at people when they dare bother me while posting at Sysopt http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif. They go well with my tennis ball collection on my desk (read the desktop post from a few days ago), when I feel I need a change.
You actually inspired me into seeing what pieces of garbage I still have in my old software storage. I can't believe it myself, but I still have an AOL Version 2.0!! 3.5" floppy!!

I got tierd of them and just write RETURN TO SENDER on them now. I also do the same with all the junk mail I get, for credit cards I just open them and send all the junk back to them in the envolope. And they still send me this junk!

Modify a skeet machine and we'll have a big shootoff and barbeque on the roof at Sysopt's
on the fourth of July. BYOB of course http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

yeah... it is soooo annoying that they send you all this stuff.... seems somewhat illegal to me, but that is how the real world works (as apposed to the internet where spamming is illegal and you can opt-out and stuff like that)...
well, a disc-throwing competition sounds good... or maybe we could build a huge reflective thingy and shine a light into one of them and see how far away we can get them to reflect to... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif (well... i'm apparently completely out of it so.....)
anywayz...

I like the skeet idea, but I think Cujo is on to something. Maybe if we took all the cd's we get in the mail this year and string them together, we could probably signal aliens!
Cool!!!! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Here's another one: If we took all the uselss disks sent out over the years, how high would they stack? Possibly to the moon?

Been saving them for a while, too. Trying to come up with an idea for using them as artwork for my comp. room. Would be a fitting decoration in here, for sure!

At least when they sent the 3.5" floppies you could reformat them and use them for other purposes so they weren't totally wasteful!
I think that the CD's would make a great piece of contemporary abstract art!
