I've had ADSL for about half a month now, and it is *excellent*. It is extremely fast, even with mirc, icq and the server running (the server even uses a 250k allocation).

I'd reccomend to anyone who it is available to. Its 24/7 connectivity is perfect for this household, as we are always in a hurry, and don't have time to wait for it to dial up.

Its also kind of nice having a 20MB file download in minutes, rather than hours, and having video content crisp and clear.

ADSL is AWESOME!

Brandon, I too will say I love my DSL service (actually got activated today! (this morning) and it just rocks on my Win2K and Linux boxes. and of course speeded up the win98 boxes http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif I have been running a dual 56K shotgun setup for almost 2 years and my DSL account is blowin that setup away! and with being able to use the regular phone while being connected to the net I was able to discontinue the extra phone line that I had and the extra dial-up account which saved me more money than what I now spend for my DSL service http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif!

Yeah. I had a seperate line for my 56K, but with that monthly fee out of the way, I save money.

I have it running on a w98 box, soon on a linux box too.

The speed is just amazing, considering it all goes over regular telco lines. I'm actually suprised its available in my area too. I live in a quite small community, which isn't even a town its so small, but we have full access to the dsl network.

I'm 15 mins from the city, and even there, only a select few areas have access. So I consider myself quite lucky. Not only for having dsl access, but being about .25KM from a station. Which gives me optimal speeds.
