Hello,
Just curious is a S462 heatsink will work on S370, because the superorb has caught my attention.

Thank You,

Why would you want to bother putting a socket a HSF on a socket 7? It doesn't need that kind of cooling, the SuperOrb was designed for 1.1+ T-Birds and highly overclocked Durons. I'm gonna get one for my Duron650 because I NEED it to OC to 1Gz. So what was the point of this again?

I wouldn't risk it. Unless you have a metal shop and can modify the super orb for socket 370 fitting. A heatsink has to be fitted for the processor it will be attached to, and not doing so has led to core cracking, and broken components.

Hello,
S7?! No, a S370.

Thanks Szech... atleast I have access to many "fun" tools... Precision boring machiens, plasma cutters, drill presses with a 3 ft. birth... Muaahaahaa!! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif

Thanks,
