It used the .35um process and draws 2.8V unlike the newer Deschutes which uses only 2V On the P2, the multiplier was locked, so you'll have to increase the bus speed to overclock. Try setting it at: 3.5 X 75 (262Mhz) If this is successful, you can try for: 3.5 X 83 (290Mhz) and maybe 3.5 X 100 (350Mhz) Make sure you have good cooling, and you might have to increase the voltage - don't go over 3V! If the system starts at the 75 or 83Mhz bus, but is unstable, you might have to turn UDMA off on your HD or set it to pio 3. You should also set your AGP ratio to 2:3 instead of 1:1 If you have anymore questions, let me know! guido 10-03-2000, 06:36 AM I'm in the same situation, except I've upgraded the cpu to a P3 500, so I need to increase the bus speed to 100Mhz. Problem is, I can't find the appropriate jumper on this board - it's not even in the handbook I d/loaded from Fujitsu. Can anybody help? Ultima 10-03-2000, 06:58 AM Guido, don't bother looking for the jumper with which ya can put yer busspeed at 100Mhz, cause yer PIII 500 is already running a 100Mhz fsb. You could try to find the jumper for higher then 100Mhz, perhaps 112 or even 120??? What motherboard have ya got??? Pim guido 10-03-2000, 07:30 AM Pim, The Setup utility when I turn on the computer tells me that the processor is a P2 333, but I think that's because the BIOS is so old! The mobo is a Fujitsu one (AC41735 if that means anything to you) but as I said, there is nothing in the "PC Specialist's Handbook" that I got from Fujitsu, all I can do is change the ratio to 3.5 or 4. The handbook does say that the fsb is 66MHz, but doesn't say if it can be changed. Cheers Guido [edit/ I've just found out that it has a NLX form factor if this helps.../edit] [This message has been edited by guido (edited 10-03-2000).] SysOpt.com
