filename extensions

after assigning filename extensions to programs in win98, how do you undo it?

Are you talking about using the 'open with' item to open a certain file extension?

Go to Start-Settings-Folder Options-File Types. Locate the type you created( if you have trouble finding it, look in "File type details" for the extension. After you find it, delete it.
