I have a duron 700 clocked to 1ghz at 1.76v and my cpu temps are about 42C idle and 44 running seti. Im also using artic silver paste. is the the best temps I can get with this setup?. Are these temps ok?.

You are just fine!

I run my 650@1000 (1.8V) on A7V win PAL6035 and temps are the same.

whats the lowest you can go on your vcore otheos and still be stable?

if you are feeling like doing it, you could Lap the heat sink., by doing that you remove the layer of "paint" from where the cooler makes contact with the core of the chip, now while your temps are just fine, you would notice a lower temp by doing this cause you are making a direct contact with the metal part of the sink and that means a better transference of heat from the core to the sink.

I did this with my Duron 600 and Gorb. noticed the temp drop from ~110F (~42c)to the low ~90'sF (~32C) running all instances of CPUBurn, Prime 95, and also benching the sucks running it at 660mhz. 110x6.

hmm, I doubt I can go any lower @1G. even @ 1.8V I get a random lock up every week or so that I don't get if I take it up to 1.85V.

I now run it @ 997.5MHz (annoyngly less than 1G) but it is faster due to the higher FSB (9.5x105) @ 1.8V and it seems stability got worse so I took it up to 1.85V and it is now rock solid. So that's all the o'cing I can do out of this chip I guess.
