ANY ONE KNOW WHERE I GET INFO ON CONFIGURING PRINTERS ON MAC OS?
HOW DO I INSTALL NEW FONTS ON CLARIS WORKS ON THE MAC OS.
A FRIEND ASKED, I COULDNT HELP, "TOTALY FRUSTRATEING AS I LIKE TO HELP!
CAN U HELP ME ???

if the printer is already installed, you activate it in chooser which is in the apple menu at the top left of the screen. Some printers i think allow you to change options in this area. Otherwise you can change options at file=>page setup of the application you are printing from.
To install fonts, simply place the fonts in the fonts directory, which is in the system directory. I think if you drag the font to the closed system folder, it will automatically place the font in the fonts folder. You have to restart any open application in order to see the new fonts.
Also, you can't use windows true type fonts. You have to change them to Mac fonts with a font converter program. Check at zdnet.com or download.com for freeware to cover this. I have a program on my mac at work called TTConverter 1.5 works like a charm. I'm sure they have the same thing on a windows platform if you want to convert it there first.
