52.5C on a PIII 800E

Is 52.5C too high at default V? I usually try to keep it below 50C, but to run RC%, it stays at 52-53C. W/o RC5, it stays around 37C. I have a temporary Best Buy bought fan/HS. (no nasty comments please http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif) No goop yet (it is at work but will be neatly placed ont he chip tomorrow).

Well, I'd reckon that was too high if you plan to OC, cos that's going to gener8 more heat...

...anyways, your temps should come down loads when you get the thermal goop on.

But that temp is within Inhell's spec @ default setting.

I guess when you have a decent heatsink with multiple fans you'll be at 45c maybe even 40c(with RC5),when you overclocked it,it'll be at your current temperature.That would be pretty good,I think.
