I hace often heard about peltier coolers and how they work, but can they be used in a normal system like mine (Amd k6III 450) which is not overclocked (it wont go any further... stable as a rock at 112*4, but i can't get it above 450, and at 112... seti@home wont run..)
Anybody using peltiers for coolng? results?

Looks like no one wanted to help you... I'll tell you what I know, but I don't have one myself. When you run current through a peltier plate, heat will transfer from one side of the plate to the other. Therefore, one side will get COLD, and the other side will get HOT. They can be used in a normal system, but they require a lot of power, so a lot of times, people will get another power supply to take care of that issue. You'd also need a massive heatsink or watercooling to take care of the heat. As for overclocking, peltiers allow you to bump the voltage up more without overheating your CPU. Upping the voltage makes the CPU run more stable and more hot.
