duron mobo

i just bought a new duron 600 and i ordered an asus k7v mobo for it...but now im thinking i made a mistake...will the duron run on this mobo???

Your Duron will not work on that board. It is a slotA board and the duron needs a socketA board. I believe the chipset for the socketA boards are the VIA KT133 or the AMD 750. When you get it up a running, please post again with the results. I am going to be building a new Duron computer soon also.

ok i was affraid of that....now if i can find a place that sells those boards...and ill be sure to post again when i get the right mobo to go with this new cpu!

ok...i found a place that had 1 FIC AZ11 socket a mobo and i just put in an order for it since this is the only board i can find...seems everyone else is getting them on or around july 4th and i cant wait that long!!!
