At boot I receive an error message:

3F8H comm address conflict!

I have McAfee.

Please be specific!

I got this message before. You get it in the very beginning of boot process, right? It's a hardware conflict and has nothing to do with software. In my case I disabled com1 and 2 in BIOS. After you get this message, go to BIOS setup screen(you have to press Del or F1 or Ctrl+Alt+Esc or something else depending on the motherboard), look for com1 and com2 addresses and set them to disable. Choose Save Settings. Reboot. If that doesn't work, let us know.
