Dear Fellow Win2000 Owners Present & Future:

I was fortunate to win a copy of Win2k. It has yet to arrive, so I decided to analyze my system for hardware and software compatability. MS has a Readiness Analyzer program that I ran to determine compatibility issues. Both my (new!)modems: DI5601 Creative Modem Blaster & BocaResearch USB Tidalwave - were listed as potentially incompatible, as were my USB Visioneer and Iomega external tape drive. I emailed Visioneer and they promptly responded that they have not tested their products on Win2k. I am awaiting email responses from the modem and Iomega people.

Has anyone installed this OS yet? Would you describe your experience?

Ps: I'm presently running a 343MHz Celeron, Intel 440BX chipset, Award Bios, 128 MB PC100 SDRAM, 13 GB HD, 44X US CDRom, Memorex 4224 CDRW, internal Zip drive, Iomega external Ditto tape drive, Visioneer 3100 USB flatbed scanner, Boca USB modem, Digicom internal ISA Creative Modem Blaster.

Pss: Anyone read that Win2k does not handle virtual Com Ports? Are not USB's virtual ports? Thx.
