As you, im sure, are aware Intel in there P3 series implemented Serial number tracking via the Internet. For people who goto dodgy sites this aint good so heres the program to turn the tracking off!

I thought the serial number thing was cancelled due to breaking the privacy of the people or something???

Probably you can turn if off in BIOS. That's what I did since I bought this mobo.

In my Bios is has : Processor Number Feature: Enable or disable. Default is enable, this only goes on when a PIII chip is installed. Is this the number that you are all talking about? I havent messed with it yet, but I think Ill turn it off. After I turn it off how can I tell if my chip is still trackable? My MOBO is GA-BX2000+

Does anyone know if the new Celery2's have this processor serial number 'feature'??

I have read somewhere that they are NOT gonna implement the serial numbers in their new chips, so the Celeron2 should be okay!!
And yes, the serial number enable/disable in the bios is the one.
