I got a Pentium 75 Socket 7 chip on a Socket 5 motherboard, My Socket 7 heatsink lines up perfectly, HOWEVER the retaining clips DO not, Could I Super glue the fan to the chip??? or would thermal Paste hold the fan in place?

Well, when I was in California...I went to a Fry's store and bought a few packs of heatsink tape.

That stuff is awesome for putting heatsinks and fans on video cards and memory chips! It's not messy either.

If you use superglue, you can damage any electronic contact the vapor comes into contact with ( I killed a MS sidewinder 3D pro's button switches like that fixing the plastic lever inside the handle with superglue...don't use it! )
