Should I go for a Coppermine now or should I save a money and do a major upgrade to my PC next year...I'm using Cel400 w/ 128 RAM and Voodoo 3 2000.

Go For It! Coppermine's are fast. I'm personally waiting for the T-Bird's though. That is if the chipsets that support it are stable.

if your motherboard supports it have you considered a celeron2 (and overclocking the snot out of it?)

I'm so pleased with my PIII-650/100 running at an easy 939, I've just ordered an 850/100.
