I was wondering what you guy thought was the best mp3 encoder. I was thinking about buying one, so I need input. Thanks for your thoughts.

I've used and been very happy with XING.

Fast, pretty easy to use, and cheap.

i bought the realjukebox and i love it. it aint cheap but it has alot of good features built in. it has a bunch of different encoding options and does a pretty good job of organizing all of your music. ie, artist, genre, album and a bunch of others.
try the free download and see if you like it.

MusicMatch Jukebox 4 works very nicely and has a free trial as well. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

AudioCatalyst and AudioGrabber. (they're the same pretty much)

I belive these are the ones buy xing. Havn't used it in a long time....673 songs is where I draw the line http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

They're not as easy to use as Real JukeBox, but once you learn you have a lot more control....though I havn't used Real JukeBox plus.

My favorite is Audio Active Production Studio (AAPS). When my friend let me borrow his 32meg Rio, I was a little bummed that I could only fit about 8 songs on there... So I figured what the heck and try resampling down to lower quality... after extracting my 128/44's with winamp, then reencoding them with audio active production studio to 56/22 + sampling (+ sampling is an option), the sound quality blew me away... I could barely tell the difference between 128/44 and 56/22... except that I could 20 mp3s for a total of 78 minutes! Not bad!

Except now... I want a Nomad Jukebox... 6 gig portable mp3 player... *drool*
