Just got this system and I'm not familiar with overclocking... yet http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I have updated my bios to the latest... no problems with the system at all.

I use two generic 64MB PC100 Sticks... not sure if they are CAS2 or CAS3 but I tried both settings in my bios and both ran great in Unreal Tournament.

First question.
How do I know which week my Athlon was produced?

Second.
How do I know which core it has? 900MHz? whatever.

btw, I don't want to open the casing... cost me too much for playing with it like it was a matchbox. I don't want to waste my warranty in case something goes wrong.

I guess my real question is how to overclock it? I use a Voodoo3 2000 PCI and a SBLive!Value... could someone tell me step by step how to overclock my bus and tell me how to do this without affecting my pci bus (if it is possible... I have no clue)

Anyways, as you see, I really have no idea how to do this. I just don't want to waste a lot of money (CAN money... you know...)

Thanks
Shnak

Try here for input on your chip, http://anthouse.co.uk/k7core/mainpage.shtml GFD's are the most popular way to do a simple OC of a K7 chip...add proper cooling and yer lookin good http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
