Does anyone know how to do the Favicon thing w/ IE5?

I have the .ico file and tried the method on htmlgoodies but it didn't work. I am trying to get it on http://t888.8m.com. Can anyone help me.

Create an icon using an icon editor. Either 16x16 or 32x32 pixels and 256 colors, and then name it favicon.ico. Place this file into your root directory on your server.

When someone bookmarks your site, this icon will be used on the IE favorites list. I have one on my site as well...

Yeah I have done all of that. But I have a subdomain. I have tried alot of things and it hasn't worked. Could it be that I have to add a link ref thingy??
