I'm going for the P3 Coppermine 600E with the ASUS P3V4X MB, regards, Donn Ganley falcompsx 06-06-2000, 06:20 PM if you have the $$ go for the P3, but $ for $ you get more raw hp with a cel2. a 566 celeron will quite easily hit 800 with air cooling. But the P3 is a more well rounded chip for overall performance, and when overclocked it has better memory performance due to the higher bus speeds. But both are execellent chips. Szech 06-06-2000, 07:52 PM I believe that games don't make good usage of the L2 cache (doesn't have enough redundant instruction calls), so a higher clocked Celeron would beat the P3, but as falcompsx pointed out, the P3 will be running the memory faster when overclocked, and is a better rounded CPU. AuraEdge 06-06-2000, 08:28 PM On your Via 133A board, the memory can run at 133Mhz no matter if you have 100Mhz bus or 133Mhz Bus. I would say celeron all the way, since a 533a, which will almost definetly hit 850Mhz, is about half the price of the 600e, which will hit around 800Mhz. SysOpt.com
