I made the new partition on drive c:. Currently my drive is a 9 gig fat32 with win98. I made the new partion 2 gigs, had partition magic name it d: and used a different file system other than fat32, I forgot the name of it but it's the one that win2000 can use(im preparing for it). How do i get windows(or the bios for that matter) to recognise the new partition as drive d: so i can try mult operating systems? Thanks alot!

Your Bios will only see the harddrive not the partition on it and Windows 98 will not reconize the NTFS partiton.

To install Windows 2000 just insert the cd in win98 and follow the instructions. Somewhere it has a n advanced button be sure to click it and select Let me choose my own partition and it will restart into win2k setup and you just select the NTFS partition to install on.
Also Partition magic should see the other partition. You may have to boot to the PM disks. ALso I would recomend you name the second partition something like WIN 2000 and the first WIN98.
