I send some encrypted stuff to a couple key employees of mine. Not because it's top secret, mainly because they share there computers with there spouses and one has a roomate. Some of the things that concern the business, or ideas we may kick around, we think is best not to be so open with.
(Bill Gates should have done this). LMAO

The program "A-Lock" works with most POP-3 mail accounts and E-mail programs (we all use IE or Netscape). The advantage here is that your not using a server based system, no problems printing, and the mail is encrypted between computer to computer.
The free version only is good for 40bit, and you can't get the darn thing off your taskbar. Paying the 15.00 gives you full controll and full encryption leval.
(Up to 56 characters 448bit).
Each computer needs to have this installed.

The other one by this same company
"PC-Encrypt" allows you to encrypt documents, files, or folders, to send as attachments or to secure them on your computer. (Great for password lists and private stuff you want to keep from others who may use your system). The cool thing about this one is you can make what you encrypt "self-extracting" so it can be opened on any system with the right password. You only need this installed on the encrypting computer.

Edit- These arn't PGP, they use the "Blowfish" algorithm, never been cracked.
Also, the 15 bucks for A-Lock allows 3 installations, on the same or different computers. - edit

I don't know how that works, but A-Lock says that 448 bit is the equivalent of a public/private key of well over 7,500 bits.
Beats the heck out of me.
Were not building atomic bombs or anything, just discussing employees job performance and other things. For most of the people that could access my computer, two bits would work. LOL
Let me know if the one you use has a demo or something, allways interested in trying new stuff. Thanks Malachi
