I own a Abit BH6 rev. 1.05 mobo with up to an 8.0 cpu multiplier. I would like to buy a celeron 600 when they become available but I have heard that they run on a 9.0 multiplier and that the multiplier cannot be changed. I would like to run it at 6.0 X 100 bus which would give me the 600 mhz on this board. Does anyone know if this is possible or not. Also, I have been considering an Athalon (600 or 700) but have heard that they tend to be unstable. Is this true?

Thanks uin advance

sorry, all intel chips now are multiplier locked. it's stuck at 9x. but some people are hitting 900 w/ 533a's and 566 so maybe 9x100 would work.
