Hi,
I have a slot 1 celeron 400 and Matsonic MS7192S m/b. When I set the FSB above 66Mhz OR set the multiplier above 6.0x, it boots up perfectly fine until I get to Windows98. It slows down a lot, shows my wallpaper, loads my anti-virus program then freezes. I know I don't have a cooling problem because it only runs about 100 degrees.
What do I do?

Does that moboard support voltage tweaks?Ifso try raising the CPU voltage to 2.2 and try using the 100Mhz FSB..............
We will need more info.

Antivirus softare is a pain too, try and disable that on startup using msconfig, and see if it loads any farther. I know antivirus is important, but I like a fast boot, so I just watch what I download http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Motherboard does not support any voltage modification. But, would I really need to change the voltage setting only to get any extra 50Mhz out of my 400 Celeron?
I'll try the antivirus thing and see if it works.

Maybe an extra .1v will help, maybe not. It's one of the things to try. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
