Sound Cards

Hi,

It seems at the moment the world of graphics cards is dog-eat-dog with Voodoo seemingly releasing a new card every other month and GeForce etc....

..but what about Sound Cards? Nobody seems to have recommended a sound card since the SB Live! was released ages ago.

Are there any other sound cards out there for a similar price that come recommended?

uhhh... SB Live!...

seriously, that is probably the best value sound card out there. Especially the SB Live! platinum, the one with the front mounted I/O panel for adding new speakers. Now if you wanna talk about high end cards...
